Kimberly Lennon – Law Student

Kimberly is in her third year at the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University. Her law school requires all third year students to complete a 4-month practice placement during which time students work under the supervision of a practicing lawyer.

Kimberly will be completing her placement with Heeney Vokey LLP, ending mid December 2019. Prior to attending law school, Kimberly graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor in Sport Management (Honours). During her undergraduate studies, Kimberly spent time working as a research assistant, focusing on how amateur athlete agreements and employment laws impact the Canadian sports landscape. She is also the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships, including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship, for which she received funding to travel to St. Vincent and the Grenadines and work with the island’s local Olympic committee in furthering sport development through policy and program initiatives.

During law school, Kimberly has worked as a caseworker for Community Legal Services in Thunder Bay and is also a member of the Labour Law Association. Kimberly speaks fluent French, enjoys reading historical dramas, food tours and travelling.
